2013 Prius Fundraising Contest!
Dear Valley Christian Parents & Athletes,
We are so happy to announce a great opportunity for our Athletic program to raise funds and for you to win a 2013 Toyota Prius valued at $25,000!
We are asking that each athlete or anyone who would like to participate with the drawings, sell a minimum of 20 tickets by May 28th. If you exceed the 20-ticket minimum, you will be placed in a drawing to win an iPad or a comparable Apple store gift card.
The Prius will be auctioned at our Football Homecoming game on Friday, October 11th. In order for us to continue to grow our athletic programs, our goal for this fundraiser is $100,000. This goal will require that everyone participate in selling the tickets. Tickets can be purchased through the Athletic office: lumidon@dublinvcc.org or 925-560-6257. There will be weekly drawings for students to win prizes!
The Raffle tickets are $20 each or 6 tickets for $100.00. You will not have tickets; they will be generated from the athletic office once the sales are placed on the attached sheet and turned in. The tickets sold on the sheet will then be scanned and sent to the email addresses on the sheet. The ticket stubs will be kept in house for the drawing.
If you have any questions, please contact me.

JUNIOR-HIGH WRESTLERS DOMINATE AT THEIR FIRST TOURNAMENT
The Valley Christian Junior-High Wrestling Team announced to the Tri-Valley that they are a force to be reckoned with at their first touranment of the season last Saturday (March 16th). Five wrestlers entered the tournament, four of whom had never wrestled in a match before.
First-time wrestler AJ Schabbing was undefeated, pinning three, and winning one by decision (points) to take the championship. Veteran Ben Carter also dominated with three pins and a decision to take first place his bracket. New wrestler Gavin McKinnon won two matches , including one pin, and took third place. First-timers Bo Buscher and Zach Kiser both started their wrestling careers strong. In Vikings Wrestling style, Bo attacked and got the first takedown of his first match. He continued to wrestle strong against some very experienced opponents. Zach put wrestlers on their backs, and even pinned his first opponent. Reagan Rogers and Brandon Cornelius were out with injury but are raring to go. This is the best showing we've seen from any of our junior high teams at a first tournament of the season. This is a very talented group of wrestlers.
Way to go guys!
