Chinese Christian High School won the match 4-1 in sets.
Singles # 1 : Calvin Fong ( CCHS) vs Andy Tkach (VCHS) 6-2; 7-5
Singles # 2: Aaron Poon (CCHS) vs Josh Landgraf (VCHS) 6-2; 6-0
Singles # 3: Nicholas Liu (CCHS) vs Daniel James (VCHS) 6-2; 6-2
Doubles # 1: Ray Thai/Victor Lee (CCHS) vs Alex Buscher/Owen Shwegerle (VSHS) 6-2; 6-6(4-7); (4-7) Valley Christian won 2-1 in sets.
Doubles # 2: Chinese Christian won by Default
Even though score looks like Chinese Christian won by 4 to 1, it was lot closer than the score shows. In the first singles match, Andy the number one single started slow as usual and it took Andy a while to figure out his opponent. But in the Second set Any was playing much better and came back from 2-4, but at the end he lost the set and match by -7.
In the second singles match unfortunately Valley Christians Josh Landgraf was not good enough to match up with much more experienced opponent who beat him straight sets 6-2 and 6-0. The positive thing of the match is that Josh won two games and has improved a lot since Valley Christian new coach Dejan has been working with him on individual basis. If Josh continues to show improvement like today, next season Coach Dejan is confident that Josh will improve and be a much better player.
In the third match youngster Daniel James, showed some potential and for his first match even though he lost 6-2 6-2, he did not do too bad and the coach was impressed with the youngster and sees in the future definite potential winner.
In the doubles match, Alex Buscher and Owen Schwegerlie, played tough two sets and in the third tie breaker after controversy gave Valley Christian their first win. In the first set they lost 6-2, but in second set they took the opponents all the way to tiebreaker and in a tiebreaker they won 7 to 4. Then after Coaches agreement, instead of playing third set because it was getting late, they played another tiebreaker and Valley Christian prevailed and won 7-4 once again.
Unfortunately the second doubles match Valley Christian had to default do to not having enough players to play out the last match.

Match in Lafayette, CA Bentley High School beat us 5 matches to 0.
Andy the # 1 singles lost first set 6-2 and second set 6-0. Unfortunately he played against nationally ranked player that had lot more experience,
In the second # 2 singles Monica Landen played exhibition match and lost both sets by 6-0. Unfortunately she also played much more experienced player. She played well, but lost anyway.
In the third # 3 singles, Josh Landen also ran across another more experienced and advanced player that beat him 6-0 and 6-0.
In the doubles # 1 match, Alex and Owen had a great match and barely lost 7-5 and 7-5. It was close match and hopefully by next time they will get better and more consistent.
In the other doubles # 2 match, Daniel and Soo played for the first time ever the competitive match and they lost 6-1, 6-1.
Over all Valley Christian players played well and showed promise and improvement. This season we will prepare and get better and next season watch out we will be much better.

Dates: From January 11th to February 6th ( For four weeks). Weekly on Monday through Thursday and Saturday afternoon will be match day.
On Monday, Tuesday, Wensday and Thursday they will have tennis lessons from 3:30 to 5:30pm and on Saturday they will play matches singles and doubles (depending on how many sign up and the level of players).
Fees: Parents will have option to choose how many days they want to enroll their kids. Obviously the more days they sign up for the cheaper it will be. The less days they sing up the more expensive it will be. Also depends how many kids sign up totally.
If we have only 5 to 10 kids, it will be little more expensive, but if we have 10 or more kids sign up than obviously bigger discount.
Here is the table:
If 5 to 9 kids, the cost will be like this
5 days x $ 30 for two hours per day =- $ 150 per week = $ 600 per month ( 4 days of practice and Saturday matches )
4 days x $ 35 for two hours per day = $ 140 per week = $ 560 per month ( 3 days of practice and Saturday matches )
3 days x $ 40 for two hours per day = $ 120 per week = $ 480 per month (2 days of practice and Saturday matches )
2 days x $ 45 for two hours per day= $ 90 per week = $ 360 per month ( 1 day of practice and Saturday matches )
If 10 or more kids sign up, the cost will be like this:
5 days x $ 15 for two hours per day =- $ 75 per week = $ 300 per month ( 4 days of practice and Saturday matches )
4 days x $ 20 for two hours per day = $ 80 per week = $ 320 per month ( 3 days of practice and Saturday matches )
3 days x $ 25 for two hours per day = $ 75 per week = $ 300 per month (2 days of practice and Saturday matches )
2 days x $ 30 for two hours per day= $ 60 per week = $ 240 per month ( 1 day of practice and Saturday matches )
Please let me know if you have any questions and we can discuss further.
Thanks,
Dejan
