VCHS Cheerleaders Honor the Senior Football Players

 

 

VCHS Cheerleaders decorate the football players locker room during Homecoming Week

 

The Valley Christian Varsity Cheer Team has recently attended a National Cheerleader's Association Cheer Camp in Santa Cruz, Ca.

During the camp the girls learned many skills and techniques to better their performance throughout the school year. About half of the team is new to cheerleading but you wouldn't know it based on their last day evaluations and competition. As a coach I am so proud to see how they bonded together as a team and quickly picked up new material and stunts that they can use throughout the school year.

The Valley Christian Varsity Cheerleaders received the following awards:

3 Superior Ribbons and 1 Excellent Ribbon for their Cheer and Chant Evaluations, Spirit Stick, Top Team Game Day, S.P.O.T Award, Herkie Team Award, Stunt Technical Excellence Award, National Championship Bid.

Individual awards were also received by the following team members:

All American Nominees: Alannah McCollum, Melissa Smith, Ellie Edehomon, and Brianna Benhamou. Al American Team: Summer Chiu, Hannah Ludden, Stephanie Mihalyi, and Francesca Bartolomucci

NCA Leadership Award: Summer Chiu

Congratulations to the Valley Christian Varsity Cheerleaders with their 4th Place trophy at the United Spirit Association Nationals in Anaheim, Ca on March 27th.
The team worked really hard all year long and did an absolutely amazing job!

Junior Cheer Clinic

Junior Cheer Clinic = Big Smiles! On January 15th the Valley Christian Viking Varsity Cheerleaders held a clinic for junior cheerleaders. Twenty three elementary age girls attended the all day event. They learned cheers, chants, jumps, stunts and a routine. The junior cheerleaders will perform at halftime of the varsity basketball game on Friday, February 4th. Thanks to all who attended!
