A New Season on Jr. High Cheerleading

What a great start to a new year of Jr. High cheerleading. With a squad of 13 we are exploding with excitement to lead our school in unity at the Flag Football games! We began our season with 2 camps. NCA Home Cheer Camp with 5 of our girls nominated for All-American Cheerleader and a Skills Camp at California Spirit. Our girls did great and have been rising up to the challenges given to them. This year they are given the privilege of cheering at the JV game Sept.23rd, which is Homecoming. They have been working hard at all their stunts and cheers! We are looking forward also to our first year of competition. We have 2 lined up and are looking forward to representing our school.

National Cheerleader's Association Home Camp

This year the 2011-2012 Jr High Cheer Team attended a National Cheerleader’s Association Home Camp on July 8-9. This was a great time for the girls as they learned material for the year as well as some new skills and techniques. During the camp the instructor nominated 5 girls for the All American Team; Anna Michel, Ashley Sandie, Gaby May, Michelle Cyr, and Mikayla Borromeo. The Team also received a Superior Ribbon for their Cheer Performance, an Excellent Ribbon for their Chant Performance, and a bid to National’s in Dallas, TX. Way to go ladies! We are so proud of what you have accomplished so far this year.
